Join EU-FarmBook’s Training Sessions
EU-FarmBook offers a series of online training sessions designed to help users get the most out of the platform. Launched in May 2024, the training sessions have been very well received, offering tailored support to contributors on a wide range of topics.
The monthly sessions aim to guide and assist project coordinators and partners from H2020 and Horizon Europe projects to contribute uploading practice-oriented materials, to connect project platforms or online knowledge reservoirs with the EU-FarmBook. The Platform went online in February 2024 and began to accept contributions. The organizers have held five training sessions since May, which have been well received by participants.
Each session provides practical, step-by-step guidance on how to use the platform’s features and ensure that users are well equipped to navigate the platform efficiently. The sessions are moderated by Laurens Van der Cruyssen. He invites experts from the EU-FarmBook consortium to provide in-depth insights into each topic and to answer questions in real time, e.g. about legal requirements or more technical topics such as API integration and connection methods, and video compression.
The sessions attract a diverse crowd including many new people and depending on the topic, Van Der Cruyssen explains. He says: ”At the moment, we’re focusing as much on showing people how to upload material to the platform, which is a challenge because are confronted with a diverse field of projects and we want to make sure that everyone can get access and knows how to prepare their material for uploading.”
Although the moderator was a little nervous before the first sessions, as he said, the number of questions asked during the sessions was not overly high. This is a testament to the good work of the Ambassadors, who regularly share their feedback with the organizers.
“The questions from our webinars are not only helpful for the users, but also valuable for us and our experts,” says Van der Cruyssen. It is very informative to reflect from the users´ point of view. It helps us better understand the needs of our community, develop solutions and provide more targeted support.
The next online training sessions will take place on the 3rd of December and will be about “Tips & Tricks for Quality Contributions” and “Contributing to the EU-FarmBook: Beginner’s Guide”. Participants can register for upcoming live webinars or watch recordings at their convenience. All sessions are recorded and uploaded to the EU-FarmBook YouTube channel, with supplementary materials such as presentations and videos also available on the project website Training Sessions page.
